Our Review

The Boar's Head is an old Coaching Inn. It is part of the Ripley Castle Estate and one of the Great Inns of Britain. It has 25 en-suite bedrooms and in its newly refurbished dining area serves deliciously wholesome food using local produce from the Castle’s kitchen gardens wherever possible. The staff are encouraged to wear a smile and make all guests feel welcome – nothing is too much trouble.

The Boar's Head is located in the unique village of Ripley on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales, an area of outstanding natural beauty, and only three miles north of the Spa town of Harrogate and seven miles south of Ripon with its magnificent Cathedral.

There is so much to see and do within a close proximity whilst staying at The Boar's Head. Right next door is award winning Ripley Castle steeped in 700 years of fascinating history. The village of Ripley is at the head of Nidderdale, part of the Yorkshire Dales National Park, which is an area of outstanding natural beauty. It is home to some of Yorkshire's most iconic scenery with its spectacular limestone valleys and picture postcard villages.
